There is a famous mountain in Kumamoto. This is Mt. Aso. We can see volcano in the top of mountain. There is frequented by tourists all year around. Not only winter but also summer are very cool. There are a lot of cow and cattle. Mt. Aso is an active volcano located in the east part of Kumamoto Prefecture. It has a caldera of the world's largest class (big hollow that was able to be done by the activity of the volcano) and a magnificent soma, and it is familiar as symbol existence of "Country of the fire" Kumamoto. It is possible to visit it by approaching the crater at time when the volcanic activity is peaceful. It is a place that a lot of riders visit by the touring with the coming of summer.
Kumamoto castle is very famous. Kumamoto Castle was made by Kato Kiyomasa.
